ABC Kids Expo Las Vegas – Top Picks

Here are some more of my favourite picks from the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas. I hope you enjoy hearing about them and thanks for all your feedback on previous ABC updates.

I know how much you all love Monte Design and we featured their cubino chairs here in 2008 even though they’re not available in Australia. I spoke with Ralph Montemurro from Canada and he is working out a way to get these lovely cubino chairs to Monte Design fans in Australia. They unveiled the charcoal colours at the show (image below). I also love the new rocker, pictured below. It is super-comfortable and would suit any nursery or contemporary home.

Oxo had a terrific range at the show this year. They are entering the children’s furniture market with the Sprout highchair which is stylish, easy to clean, comfortable and comes in terrific colours. What I love most about the Spout is it requires no tools to adjust! Being a convertible chair, the tray has two positions, the foot rest also has a few positions and all adjustments can be made easily without the use of tools. There are no pricing details right now but it will launch early 2010 so I’ll keep you posted when I hear more details.

I also like their new drinking cups, which will be in stores by the end of this year. and the new designs on the Candela. They have launched the Zoom and the Roomi, pictured below.

I love the new additions to Think Baby. All their products are free of Bisphenol-A (BPA), PVC, Phthalates, Lead, Melamine, Nitrosamines and toxic chemicals.

There wasn’t a lot of fashion at the show but Plush Decaf was a real stand out for me. Their range is colourful and features original illustrations with felt appliqued designs. The range includes floor cushions, pillows, dog beds and baby clothing and I fell in love with the children’s clothes.

The range comes in ultra-soft velveteen, denim and cotton and is not yet available in Australia but you can order online from one of their many international stockists.
