We love Nemo! Not only is it a visual feasr for the eyes, but alao an amazing teaching tool to teach the kids about our local backyard, the Great Barrier Reef, and why it’s so vital to us all!
Nemo. Great story line with a good mix of light jetted comedy. Fun for adults and kids alike and it’s in Sydney.
I would have to say the Toy Story series; for showing friendship, growth and new beginnings.
Our family favorite is Toy Story. We have watched it more then 30 times over the last 5 years and it never gets boring! My sons talking woody doll comes on all family holidays.
Toy Story and Nemo – great movies!
They are so bright ,colorful and fun, love the music
Great message behind them too! X
Why is Finding Nemo in my top 10? Pixar has captured the sea effect and the light reflections perfectly and not just the breathtaking wonder of the Great Barrier Reef, to the classic fish tank. But Finding Nemo’s strength is it’s warm, witty and funny story of a father’s quest to find his son. It is both sad at times and suspenseful for the whole film.
Has to be finding nemo. Love the characters, colours and humour. Precious story
Finding Nemo is by far one of the best movies that I have ever seen. The movie is hilarious to all ages and the actors chosen fit the characters so well. I was introduced to the movie back when I use to babysit 2 little girls and we watched it ever week for just over a year and I still Love the movie! Hoping that Ellen Degeneres gets her wish for a sequal because this would be a movie I would definitely go watch :)
My personal favourite is Finding Nemo as it shows the ends of the earth we will go to for our kids. Little people in my house love them all & have watched them constantly for 10 years
Toy story and monsters Inc here the kids watch them over and over and I find myself captivated too!
Wall-e. because what other show can be so entertaining and captivating with virtually no words for the first half hour
Our family favourite is Toy story. My Son Eddie loves Woody and Buzz and sleeps with them every night. “You have a friend in me”. Now they are getting older they also love Cars.
The Incredibles! Not only is there something everyone can relate to, the idea of superheroes in disguise, and finding themselves makes an action packed movie that everyone wants to watch over and over again!
Our boys appearing around the house in various hats declaring “Hi, I’m Woody! Howdy, howdy, howdy” is a clear indicator that Toy Story is the favourite.
MONSTERS INC!! The first 3D feature of its kind… Mindblowing. I’m 24 weeks pregnant and my little bubba’s belly name is “Boo” from this film.
We love finding nemo…. When life gets u down u have to “just keep swimming”
We love finding nemo… When life gets u down u have to “just keep swimming”
Toy Story means a guaranteed period of time when I can actually get things done! Than you Pixar as you often helped me find some sanity again.
Monsters, Inc has to be my personal favourite by Pixar – it is a beautiful story of learning about laughter and love and about overcoming fear in the lives of both a little girl and a perceived monster!!! Who wouldn’t find that inspiring :)
Cars is the favourite for both our 3yr old daughter and 18month old son. It’s my personal fave because It just makes my smile listening to our daughter sing along to Sheryl Crow (Real Gone) in the car to the audio track.
Toy Story! 1, 2 and 3… I cant wait to introduce my 16mth old to good old imagination play and the wholesome values these shows depict.
Toy Story- which kid hasn’t believed that their toys come to life when the child’s not looking?
In our house it’s Cars without a doubt – We’ve seen it at least 30 times I reckon! My 4 1/2 year old son has been watching it since he was 2! Everything about this movie is to enjoy, but the fact that it’s all about all sorts of different cars with cool expressions on their faces would be my sons reason! I just think it’s a great kids movie that adults can actually still enjoy after way too many times!
My daughter loves Brave! Merida is a wonderfully strong female character. It’s great to see a young princess who doesn’t need to be rescued and is brave enough to rescue her family.
It’s so hard to choose but FINDING NEMO would be the family favorite. It hit theatres when my now husband was here and I was in the US finishing school in the US and made me think of Australia all the time! Our first dance was to ”Somewhere beyond the sea”. Our little girl loves Nemo and Bruce, telling our US family how she lives in Sydney like Nemo’s daddy and Dory went, and our youngest is the next generation to love Finding Nemo. When it’s on he says “ish” and runs to the TV.
My husband is a scuba diver so Nemo has to be our favourite. Until he can learn to dive, my one year old will have to enjoy the underwater world with Nemo!
My fav Pixar of all time is Monster’s Inc. I love it so much that I have 2 DVD copies and 1 blu ray :) I kept watching it over and over again, amazingly it always make me laugh. Great animation, great story line, great characters, 2 thumbs up. And Boo is adorably cute.
Up is a favourite as it has a unique storyline that. A very touching tale to learn about acceptance and change.
“Up” is my favourite, for so many reasons. The theme of following your dreams and being yourself in a whimsical yet gentle style of story telling, and I absolutely love the soundtrack. It uses one main musical theme and varies it for so many scenes, and I especially have a soft spot for the montage sequence that shows Carl’s married life to Ellie – it always makes me tear up!
My 2 year old watches Toy Story everyday, he absolutely loves any of the movies and to say he is obsessed is an understatement!
My son Loves the start of Pixar films he just goes crazy when the light jumps around always a great to a movie
my kids have all the disney movies my girls love tangle.and my boy loves cars and finding nemo.
My 2 year old daughter loves Toy Story – that much mind you that we watch either 1, 2 or 3 eveyday while we have our lunch and her Woody doll comes everywhere with us. I dont know exactly why she has chosen Toy Story as her favorite but i think the idea that your toys come alive when your back is turned could be appealing?
Monsters Inc. is the absolute favourite of mine! Now that my little girl is two, she reminds me EXACTLY of Boo!
Our family favourite is Cars, my overactive 4 year old even sits and watches without complaining – except when we run out of popcorn
We love Toy Story because the characters are all fun and always come together as a team. My son is a big fan of Buzz light year!
Up is our favourite at the moment because the first bit always gets me and brings a tear to myself and hubbies eye. Our 2 year old loves it too and wonders why the old man has the little boys balloon! :-)
Our family’s favourite has to be all 3 Toy Story’s! Love the story lines, funny characters, funny phrases and the amazing details which go into every little scene..amazeballs :) Love Pixar!!!!!!
Toy story cause friends never give up on each other even when times are tough and having two boys with special needs they are each special in their own way but yet a team :)
My current favourite is Up! But can’t wait til my little one is old enough to enjoy the others!!!! x
Nemo…a gorgeous tale for adults and children alike!!!
Pixar make fantastic movies, and my daughter has loved each and every one of them. Our local cinema ran Toy Story 1 and 2 before number 3 came out and it was a great experience to get to share them with her on the big screen.
I grew up with Disney movies and I wanted my son to experience the magic too. I had to ask him which was his favourite movie as it is hard to tell, we watch all of them on rotation! His answer was Toy Story 3, when I asked why he said: Because Buzz “habla espanol” and dances… Luke is now 3 and has grown up learning English, Spanish and Cantonese. The first time we saw Buzz speaking in Spanish his face lit up, he connected!
TOY STORY of course why? because I remember going to see it with my baby brother at the movies, then …. some 20 odd or so years later taking my 3 year old boy and newborn daughter to see the third and the magic of that movie was the same. Timeless JOY!
Cars! Apart from it being a beautiful story that keeps older kids captivated, my 18 month old just loves the ‘caaaarrrrrrs’. He won’t sit still for much else!
My almost 3 year old loves “a bug’s life”. I guess it teaches him that even though we are small we are strong together. That also teaches him that bullying IS bad!!
We love Up! Such a lovely story with wonderful funny characters and the story at the beginning is heartbreaking and beautiful.
Up – wonderful movie about timeless and everlasting love, as well as friendship between the unlikeliest of people
Our favourite is Brave – my great grandparents originally came from Scotland so it’s been a great way to start discussions about our family history. More so, I love that Merida is such a strong lead character and someone that we can actively encourage our daughters to admire and emulate, rather than the traditional princess types. Hopefully she can also show our girls that being a red head is nothing short of awesome, and they’re lucky to share Merida’s hair colour!
I know now that without a doubt my three boys love love love Toy Story!!! Every time the ad for Pixar in Concert comes on TV they go mad for Buzz. This movie about friendship has taught my kids to be better brothers and look out for each other.
How to choose, we have them all.. They all have beautiful messages, superb voices and humour in the script to ensure both the kids and I kept amused.. My vote goes Toy Story as a classic but seriously if I asked the kids we would argue all day as its to hard to call a favourite x
Monsters Inc… I was afraid of the dark growing up!
Toy Story 1,2 &3!! My almost 3 yr old son quotes the whole movie and tells me every day he loves me “to infinity and beyond” He has every doll and sleeps with them every night he just doesn’t get bored of them!!
Toy Story 1, 2 & 3. Much loved by both the boys and girls in our home and is pitched at a level that the little and not so little ones love it as well – not just the kids. Lots of good lessons but also great for pure enjoyment factor too as a family. Cost per watch of the dvds in our home would be pretty low! :)
Toy Story! We all grew up with Andy! The changes in his little world, buzz and Woody moments to the holding hands at what seemed “the end”…our home wasn’t home unless it was playing!
My favourites would have to be Up or Finding Nemo, they’re such beautiful stories of friendship and courage and are full of great characters ;)
My favourite is Toy Story…the very first one…it was so unique and it set a standard in animation…my kiddies on the other hand would say Cars or Cars or Cars
Toy Story is our favourite. Its such an emotional story! full of friendship and love x
Cars, I love all the friendships! And my son loves it :-)
My favourite is Finding Nemo because it has a great storyline that no matter what, family never gives up on helping other family members. :) also great characters & extremely funny & sad at times.
Toy Story. I’ve seen that movie multiple times, & is the one my son always asks for. He just loves Woody & Buzz and sleeps with both of them.
“You might think I’m crazy” but with 2 little boys at home we travel on “route 66″ all day long, because “Life is a highway, and we wanna ride it all night long”. Disney Cars rocks our house any day! ;)
Toy Story – great humour for adults and the kids. All 3 are favourites in this household.
Toy Story is our family favourite. Something for all the family, I love that it shows a problem, problem solving and empathy, a lesson for the big and little kids in our family! Buzz is our hero, “To the Opera House and Beyond!!!!!!”
It is so hard to choose a Pixar film, but if we had to choose one, it would be Toy Story 3 (with the other two precluding it). I was a kid when Toy Story came out in 1995 and I was instantly captured by the characters and story. Now I am a father and my oldest son can’t stop talking about Buzz and Woody and Jessie and Mr Potato Head (all of which he has toys of as well!). Toy Story has brought us full circle from my childhood to my son’s childhood, and holds much significance in that way. I grew up with Woody and Buzz, and now I get to go through it all over again with my sons. As Woody says, “We’ll always be there for him.”
Definitely Toy Story. My son had all the toys and he’s now a teenager. Now my daughter loves the movies and her favourite is Jesse. Pure nostalgia for me.
Finding Nemo is the one,
Marlan’s adventure makes viewing so much fun!
With Dory who forgets it all,
And Nemo in Sydney making friends and standing tall!
The only bit that was a surprise,
Was when the dentist makes an entrance and my daughter covers her eyes!
I don’t think she will go to the dentist now,
As she will probably have a cow!!
The Incredibles, the laughs continued all week with family members wearing their underpants on the outside and zooming around the house at lightning speed
Hard to choose but would have to say all of the Toy Story movies, just love them all and so do my kids.
Finding Nemo – we saw it in the States and bought a plush Nemo which master four still sleeps with
Toy Story….you got me through 4 pregnancies by giving me a nap on the couch. Forever grateful.
Toy story is the fav in our house, it’s great for kids and adults
Cars us definitely our family fave. Our eldest had to have all 10 of his cars at bedtime when he was 2, find the missing car game at bedtime was always fun :P
Our favourite is ‘UP’, We laughed and cried and enjoyed it as a family. This movie resulted in lots of family cuddles :-) thank you xo
My family cant get enough of nemo…such a loving movie touches our heart each time we watch it, even my 4yo girl tears up when nemo reunites with hes “fish daddy” (as my girl calls him). Pixar films are simply amazing.
Up is our family’s favourite movie,
my 3 yo son nods approvingly;
Love the adventure, kindness and colourful pictures,
gets him dancing and boogeying to the tunes of this blockbuster.
We’re all a-Buzz for Toy Story in this house! We love a movie that Hamms it up with Lotso fun, it’s a real Bullseye for us!
Finding Nemo. It not only captures the beautiful environment we are so fortunate to live alongside it also has some great voices featured – Namely Ellen.
