Stitch up a witty saying and inspire the young literary genius in your family, display their name or show off the whole alphabet. The possibilities are endless.

Australian craft and decorative arts expert Tamara Maynes brings you these cross stitch kits. These typographic kits, inspired by ransom notes, bear the clever name Well Crafted Threats. Each has an A-Z design chart, easy instructions and materials to stitch six letters. More letters can be added with the Cross Stitch Extra’s Pack. Well Crafted Threats typography is ransom note style, similar to that of magazine type cut outs. Each letter is stitched within a 10cm embroidery hoop which is also supplied.

In keeping with the typographic theme are other savvy kits including ‘Have your say in Helvetica’ and ‘We are so good together’. The time-poor haven’t been forgotten, finished artworks in the form of oversized cross stitched letters (priced from $110 and shown below) are also available. Each kit or finished art piece is neatly packaged and gift worthy.
