Clearly the end of the rainbow lies in the Sydney suburb of Wahroonga.
The eye-catching Wahroonga Preparatory School, designed by GGF Architects, certainly makes a colour statement.

Before the massive injection of colour, Wahroonga Preparatory School was a somewhat drab cream brick building that had undergone various alterations over the years. It stood out (for all the wrong reasons) from the adjoining State heritage-listed St John’s Uniting Church and hall complex built in the inter-war Gothic and Federation styles.

To create a cohesive design, the existing school building was sheathed in multicoloured fibre-cement panels and new sections for classrooms, a library and a music and art room were added. The Lego-like facade echoes the stained glass window of the adjacent church. The result is spectacular – lucky kids.

The rainbow colours would add some brightness to a day at the school. Great design and well done to the architects!
Love it, would have liked to have gone to school in a building like this!
