It’s sometimes easy to forget all about old fashioned entertainment like that of reading… let alone the fact that it’s a cool thing to do, this Studio Mela print is a fabulous reminder!

Studio Mela on Etsy has some of the best little girls (and big girls!) prints I’ve seen in a while. I’d happily hang these on my own daughter’s wall. She’s at that awkward and vulnerable ‘tween’ age where some of Studio Mela’s messages like reading is cool via the Imagination print (pictured above) and you’re beautiful inside and out with the Believe it print (pictured below right) are perfect mantras to nourish the soul.

Shelli Dorfe is the marvellous talent behind the Studio Mela name and her sublime illustrations are as at home in a nursery as in an older child’s bedroom, it’s artwork that definitely won’t be outgrown in a hurry.

I’m particularly partial to the Once Upon A Time print (pictured below left). The little girl in her bunny hat and pink stripe top with red pinafore is ridiculously cute – it makes a great gift for a new pink bundle of joy!
