Prizeapalooza day fifteen is all about happy snaps and making the most of them. Three lucky winners will each get to design their own Blurb photo book to the value of $100. In these days of digital photography and camera phones, we’re taking more photographs than ever before, but sadly, most of them never get printed! If you’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to sit down and organise all those digital photos into something you can actually show people and leave on a coffee table, this is it.
No more loading files on a USB, taking them to be printed, trying to find a nice album, messing about with sticky corners and trying to get everything lined up just right. At Blurb there are lots of sizes and styles of books to choose from, with bookshop quality printing and binding, and a choice of hardcover or paperback. You can add text as well as pictures so you will only be limited by your imagination (and if you’re not that imaginative, they have lots of great ideas to get you on your way!).

Whether you decide to create the ultimate baby book, or a chronicle of a recent family holiday, the possibilities are just about endless. The whole process takes place online so you can do it at your own pace at a time that suits you. The video below gives you a bit of an idea of the process, and it’s worth checking out some of the noteworthy photo books that people have created using Blurb.
To enter leave a comment below with your full name in the Post a Comment section, telling us what you would chronicle with your Blurb photo book if you were one of the winners. You have seven days to enter and entries close at midnight 21 November 2011.

My newborn baby. As he is my 3rd baby I know how quickly they change and grow. I’d love to be able to put together a book with a photo a day showing just how much they change. And since he’s our last (unless there’s a surprise pregnancy) it would be even more special!

Photography has been my great hobby and passion for many years. I love creating photobooks and always did it through an American website, waiting for them to arrive for weeks. The Blurb books look fantastic and i would love to have a go and bring to life one of my long-awaiting projects – my Mum and Dad’s visit last year. They live in Europe and my little girl meets them only once a year. She misses them a lot and always looks at their photos (mostly on computer), and it would be lovely to make a book for her and send a copy to Nanny and Poppy too.
Baby is due in 4 weeks, so would chronicle him as a newborn!
we need a visual documentary of all the milestones for our first baby boy
The Blurb audio makes it sound so easy. I trust she is right; for like all first time parents, we have gone insane with the camera. Now it is a question of what to do with them all. Blurb would seem to have the answer.

What would I document in my next blurb book? As an amateur photographer I am aiming to do a ‘photo-a-day’ project for my little one next year. Photographing the first 365 days of his life and publishing them in a precious book to share with family and friends here and overseas and to keep for looking back on will not only be so special, but the first in the serious of photobooks about ‘Baby D’.
I have been busy chronicling all sorts of events today, mainly the exciting times ahead for my family moving into a new home and my attempts to let go of our current home (to which I have a very strong connection). Most of my digital photos have our home as the backdrop.
All the thrills, all the spills,
The muddy messes, the frilly dresses,
Every smile, every cheeky grin,
the special everyday moments are what I’d put in
The first year of each of my beautiful boys. So many wonderful ‘firsts’ that they achieved, captured on camera.

First cuddles, first smiles, they’re hard to beat.
First meeting with siblings, they waited 9 months to meet.
First teeth, first haircut, would look really neat.
First solids, I love just watching them eat.
From helpless baby to terrorising toddler, to have these moments forever would be a treat!!
I would use this to creat something very special for my daughters great grand parents who are 2 states away, they have only seen her twice. And also for the rest of our distant family as we r all really close but just not able to see each other very often. Also one to keep for charlotte to look back on when she gets older, nothing beats all of those wonderful stories that you can tell your kids when they get older.
I have taken heaps of photos of my son but I never seem to have time to sort and print them. A waste really because nobody has the chance to admire them including me. I would use my Blurb photo book to tell the story of his first year, then all my favourite photos will be in the one place and I can enjoy them and show them off to everyone.
A book of our little fellow’s first year would make a wonderful keepsake.
Over 300 photos taken in the few days since my son was born (and thats just me), over 1,000 by the time he was 2 months old. He is now 22 months old and I havent looked at how many there are now but Im sure it is ALOT!. Total number of photos I have printed out… 9 (on my fridge). The worst thing is that I LOVE BLURB and have created many BLURB photo books for other people, but never one for myself… crazy! This is the perfect kickstart for me to finally create an album for my son and MY family!

I’d love to send it on to my dad who lives in New Zealand and has never seen a picture of my 5 month old gorgeous princess and my other 3yo princess who has grown up so much since he saw her last
I’d Blurb the last 4 years of our little family’s adventures. We’ve had to travel and move around for work and living in 6 different places over the last 4 years. This has made it tricky carting “keepsakes” around with us. So while we might not have a home full of memories, a Blurb book would be the perfect home for my family’s cherished memories.
My daughter’s first 2 years of life – have been trying to get photos organised and haven’t got there yet – this would help so much.

my son’s time through Primary school, he is due to finish in 4 weeks and then start high school next year
the lives so far of my 4 kids, spanning over 13yrs so far, would be filled up quickly
!
Alice in Wonderland. Our beautiful little girl Alice and her wondrous adventures through the first year of her life.
Its not very original but I would chronicle all of the wonderful milestones and cute happy snaps of my two girls aged 3 and 7 months. How exciting to turn all of those digital photos into a book they can treasure forever :)
My gorgeous girl Gisele is 9 months old and has only seen her grandparents 3 times! A chronicle of her first year of life would bring them so mch joy and show them the daily changes in Gisele’s life!
I would love to document the life of my grand mother – someone who lived an amazing life. With so many photographs, that will continue on through our family in a blurb album.
What a great gift for new parents and grandparents. I would chronicle the entertaining and mischievous life of my beautiful 14 month old granddaughter Baylee.
My eldest son is about to start school. So with a Blurb photo book I would chronicle his life up til school. And then do the same for my other two little boys.
I would design the book called – Cleopatra’s 1st year
My daughter was born on a Sunday and I have taken a photo of her every Sunday right up to her first birthday
The book would be filled with all the highlights and watch me grow from birth
Xx
It would habe to be my first norms impact on my life and how special she will always be before bub two bustles into her world!
My gorgeous twins are nearly two. I would love to chronicle their lives up till now so my parents who live overseas can have a precious set of memories to share with those close in their lives, to brag about how amazing their granchildren are and how blessed their mum is to have them.
The precious first year of life of my new baby, after heartbreakingly losing our daughter at eight months of age, I know first hand how truly precious photographical memories truly are.
We use Blurb every year for chrissy present to my daughters grandparents. We usually do albums of the girls year.
I would record my boys first 2 years before the new baby arrives and the photos never get published!
My daughter’s first year, focusing on her ever changing (and very varied) facial expressions!
Life moves so so fast. Blink and you miss lots, so its wonderful Blurb has such a magic idea to save all those precious moments. Collated in one special book.
I would chronicle my sons first year. I have been trying to put together a baby albumn for him the old fashion way and he is now four!
Nanna’s busy days with five grandchildren!
My baby is due March 28 and I would love to use the blurb photo book to put together photos of my first pregnancy and newborn. Also, since my husband and I were recently married before he had to ship out for the army again, I would love to be able to showcase the few precious photos we have together from our engagement and wedding. It would be the ultimate gift to show him how much I love him and the sacrifices he makes to help protect our country and freedoms.
