lotsa to love

Take one Victorian-era inner city pad, chuck in two kids and a mum who loves to shop, and voila, you have a recipe for clutter.  Oh, how I wish for just one walk-in robe and a medium-sized rumpus room to contain it all. But until we renovate, I’ll take solace from the amazingly high ceilings with walls to match that are just perfect for hanging artwork. The blank space above my daughter’s cot has been screaming out for something special. Enter Cici Art Factory .

I’m loving the Lotsa range a whole – well, a whole lotsa. Liz Clay, the amazing talent behind Cici Art Factory, uses acrylics and ink on canvas for each hand-made panel. Birdies in pink is my favourite for a girl but there’s also blue milk bottles, yellow chicks or green frogs. Now if I can only choose between a giant noughts and crosses pattern or a super-cute random and organised birdies layout. Don’t have a big wall space? It’s okay. Lotsa works equally well solo, as a horizontal trio or small two-by-two pattern.

Each Lotsa painting measures a little over 20x20cms and costs $90, with shipping from Canada an extra $14 per canvas, including insurance. Of course, all prices are in Canadian dollars.
