Where will Lego pop up next?!
We first spotted a Lego forest taking over Martin Place in Sydney’s CBD and then the red plains of Broken Hill in far-west New South Wales were transformed with Lego flowers and trees. Now Lego Australia is taking it’s Lego Forest to Sydney’s coastline.
With a prime cliff top view of Coogee Beach, the Lego pine trees and flowers are blooming at Dunningham Reserve, on the headland at the northern end of Coogee Beach. The Lego forest trees and flowers have been recreated to a 1:1 ratio of the original pieces, but super-sized to be sixty-six times bigger in size, bringing a play world to life. While passing joggers may not notice the new flora, kids certainly have!
The Lego Forest is part of Lego Festival of Play, a nine-month schedule of hands-on events and elaborate creations all set to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Lego in Australia. The Coogee Beach Lego Forest will be on display until Sunday, October 28, 2012.
