is a French site specialising in print runs of just 300, and as they
sell all over the world, chances are you'll never see another.
They have an amazing and constantly changing catalogue with a marvelous children's section featuring the work of talented
illustrators.
The idea behind L'affiche Moderne, is that even on a shoestring
budget, you can have beautiful, high quality art posters that don't
make your home resemble a dentist's surgery. Fine by me! I've been on
the trail of affordable art for quite some time now, and it seems
to be an idea that has caught on in a big way..
Some of the styles are surrealist, some just plain sweet. There's
transport, other worlds, space travel, quaint scenarios, and some
that just boggle the brain. Whatever you choose, it'll be unique and a
source of conversation between you and your little ones. I can
only imagine what stories you could come up with for some of the more
surreal selections!
