Local label XOthree stylishly revolutionises maternity activewear

XOThree Nursing Bras

Australian label XOthree is maternity activewear made better, combining good looks and great design – and stylishly supporting on-the-go mums.

Not like the others

If you’re looking for a bulky, beige maternity bra with tricky hooks and the sex appeal of a packet of pot scourers, XOthree is NOT for you.

If, on the other hand, you’re looking for a maternity/nursing bra – or maternity activewear – that adjusts to changing boobs, is made from fancy Italian fabric and makes you want to wear it down the shops (sans t-shirt), then come sit by us.

A rethink of maternity bras

Australian label XOthree designs activewear for pregnant mums, nursing mums and ALL mums, really.

Their range runs from size 8 through to size 16, and is designed to bridge the gap between support and fashion, championing on-trend design, with a firm eye on excellent support, structure and fabrication.

Founded by Alex, Krissy and Bri, this local label aims to keep pregnant women and mums comfortable while they’re active or on-the-go, without forgoing their personal style.

‘We want our active mums to be able to maintain their sense of personal style both during their pregnancy and while breast-feeding. Just because you’re pregnant, doesn’t mean you have to give up who you are,” a representative says.

Quite right they are. This label has cleverly tapped into the busy mum market and are crafting a range that looks good and wears well, supporting women whether they’re running down to the shops, around the block or on a marathon.

Form, fitness and fashion

The range includes low, medium and high-impact appropriate bras – so they’re a style to suit everything from grabbing coffee, heading to yoga or sprinting intervals.

XOthree bra design incorporates clever features like magnetic closures that can be fastened with one hand (because you’re baby’s snuggled in the other!), straps that adjust to the fullness of nursing boobs, and front zip detail that can be undone to suit breast size.

The label also markets some rad compression leggings, which are designed for postpartum bodies and feature a double high-waisted band (to keep everything tucked in) and mesh leg panels for comfort and good looks.

XOthree pricing is competitive, considering the quality and engineering. Bras range from $99.95 to $135.95 and leggings also range from $99.95 to $135.95.

Hats off to these clever women for reinventing bras for new mums – and favouring fashion over frump.
