The Origami Power Stroller – it’s here

There are people who have been getting themselves in knots waiting for the 4moms Origami Power Stroller to hit Australia…. The wait is over.

We first showed you the 4Moms Origami Power Stroller way back in 2010 and since that time we’ve had lots of inquiries about when it will be available in Australia and a few teasers suggesting that it was almost here. Well thankfully, this is no teaser. We’re excited to tell you that Minimee is now taking pre-orders for the new Origami stroller, available in Australia in July.

So what is it that sets the 4Moms Origami Power Stroller apart? Try the world’s first power-folding system (the pram folds itself at the touch of a button). It’s also the world’s first iPod-playing, mobile phone-charging, LCD-sporting pram. With a generator in the rear wheels that charges the pram as you walk, the Origami can power speakers, a phone charger, a speedometer, daytime running lights and sensors that detect when a child’s in the seat (so it’ll never fold by accident). Basically, if you’re a fan of gadgets, this stroller is for you.

The Origami Power Stroller is available online from Minimee for $1499.95.

  1. As great as it sounds – would there really be many people who would spend that kind of $$ on a pram?!?!?

  2. This is such a WOW pram if you have the spare cash but so many others will more than do the job better than this, however, my only concern is the drink cup holder placement and I think anyone who would put a hot drink (second photo here) over the top of a baby/child’s head would be misguided, even if there is a hood cover there.

  3. Looks great and sounds fabulous, but where is the storage? Where’s the basket? if I was going to spend that amount on a pram, I would expect some storage with it, I think a Donkey or Buffalo is a better bet for that amount of money.

  4. Great feature except for the weight! At 14kgs, it’s a bit too heavy to get out of a car.

  5. $850 in the US – that difference is ridiculous.

  6. I have one. It weighs 40 lbs, and the storage basket is flimsy. Other than that its very cool.
