Quick! Go see the light-up LED seesaw in Melbourne’s Federation Square

enesslightseesaw18 Quick! Go see the light up LED seesaw in Melbournes Federation Square

It’s only there until 1 July, so you’d better hurry down to Federation Square if you’re in Melbourne, to see the magnificent light-up seesaw.

Brave the winter cold to help celebrate the Light In Winter program with A Tilt of Light – it’s a giant see-saw that reacts in real time to the various modes of motion. You choose the environment surrounding the seesaw (water, space, air and yoghurt) and then feel and see how it responds. Creator Eness explains;

Climb on and watch how a Pingpong ball might bounce on the moon, or how a balloon might wade through yogurt. Choose the atmosphere surrounding your object- air, water, space and even yogurt and observe the ball of light as it hurls your way. Our seesaw is equipped with a physics engine and thirty three rows of light that respond to your tilt whilst you saw through the air.

Those who can’t experience it for themselves, can get a good idea from this video:
