Ring flash units have become standard kit for a lot of photographers. They give a soft directional light that can give portraits a unique look without a complex lighting setup.
Their downside has always been the cost, but now Photojojo is selling an adapter that connects to a regular flash unit. It uses a series of mirrors to redirect the light into a ring shape, giving a similar quality to traditional ring flashes at a fraction of the cost.
The adapter couldn’t be easier to use – just pull the velcro strap tight around your flash and you’re ready to go. We had a great time trying it our with a couple of willing subjects.
