LifeProof your iPhone

My friend described the time when his brand new iPhone slipped from his shirt pocket into the bath as he leant over to shampoo his son’s hair as one of those horrifying slow-motion moments. Down, down, down it sank to the bottom of the bath. Gone, gone, gone my friend thought. And he was right – the phone never recovered. He should have ‘life-proofed’ it.

If there was ever an iPhone case made for parents, it’s LifeProof. There’s all sorts of details on the LifeProof website about the ‘seven levels of protection and the four proofs’ the case provides but parents just need to know this: waterproof. Yes, take your iPhone swimming – the LifeProof case features waterproof vents on the microphone and speakers and waterproof seals on the case and ports.

Babyology tried out a LifeProof case on a recent trip to Malaysia and we loved it. It’s also worth noting that LifeProof cases for the iPad will be available soon.

  4. I am absolutely stunned that parents allow such young children ready access to any type of mobile phone. They are not a toy. It is dangerous enough when they accidentally get hold of them. You can buy toy mobile phones with child “designs” on the outside of them and I don’t think they are very expensive.

  6. I’ve seen them at Vodafone stores for $79.95! Seems like a small price to pay to protect your phone from little fingers!
