It’s getting hot in here with Woodstation

Wooden Clock

I’m so tired of watching the weather channel. When I’m at my brother’s place, I am guaranteed of watching it for hours – such is my eight-year-old nephew’s interest in meteorology. I’m going to tell his parents to buy him one of these awesome Woodstation Clocks, $US175. Looking remarkably like a sculpted block of wood (compressed recycled wood at that), it turns on the show once the motion detector is triggered and that’s when the fun begins.

The Woodstation Clock, from Inovaxion, graphically displays the day’s forecast with rolling clouds, lightning bolts, rain or bright sunshine. It also displays time, date, indoor temperature and indoor humidity. What a great way to teach kids about weather systems!
