IPhones and kids – a passcode safety warning

passcode

I know I had this coming.  I used to think it’s cute seeing my two-year-old playing with my iPhone.  Well, no more.  My wonderful daughter managed to lock me out of my phone by setting a passocde.

Don’t let this happen to you!  Set a passcode yourself by going to Settings > General > Passcode Lock.

Good luck.  I’m off to restore my phone from the last backup.

  1. It did happened to me once with my two years old. We first thought something wrong with the phone because he couldn’t possibly put the password. (Getting to that part needs works, not to mention it requires exact password twice to verify the process.) We actually did try simple combinations he might put such as 1111, 2222, 1234, etc. Our last resort is asking him to type in the password for us. He did remember! The magic number was 1233.
