Automee-S – perfect for tidying up your phone

My five-year-old vehemently denies she’d been using my iPhone without permission. But the crusty fingerprints smeared across the screen and the collection of Toca Boca Hair Salon snapshots in the camera roll tell another story.

Introducing the Automee-S by Japanese designer Takara Tomy. It’s a robotic cleaner for your device screens (because polishing the screen of your iPad can really take it out of you). The Automee-S uses special cleaning paper to ‘polish’ the screen and automatically knows where the edges of your device are, so that it can turn and attack the next bit of filth – good to know that the Automee-S will do a thorough job.

While it’s tempting to put the Automee-S to work on something really tough like dried Weetbix, I think I’ll stick to an ordinary cleaning cloth that doesn’t require batteries!

Automee-S goes on sale in Japan in March and is expected to cost ¥1,575.
