Babyologists will find something to love in every department of US store Sparkability. Sparkability was created by some “frustrated parents” who couldn’t find a cohesive collection of inspiring, well-designed products for children. I have looked at hundreds of online children’s stores and the ones I like the best are invariably the work of parents who couldn’t find what they were looking for so did it themselves. Sparkability is a great example of this. Their collection includes many Babyology favourite designers, such as Oeuf, Nest and Hushamok, as well as some new names.
I won’t spoil your fun by revealing too much about what’s on offer at Sparkability, but I will tell you about my standouts, just to whet your appetite.
In the toy section, the 1960s inspired Red Ball Rocker (US$265) is perfect for mod toddlers who like to rock. I also like the construction possibilities the Spaceframe Sculpture Kit offers (US$200).
Sparkability has lots of wonderful furniture but my favourite is the Storytime Bookcase. With its built-in bookends and nooks for different sized books and toys, I think this would be a winner in the kid’s room. It comes in a range of colours and sizes, prices starting at US$350. The Arm Shell Rocker also caught my eye, not just because it is a faithful reproduction of a 1950s classic, but with a range of 16 colours, half the fun is choosing. The Arm Shell Rockers are US$349 each.
