Pink Coyote, a Sydney-based company run by artist Maryanne Deans Kolek, exists to give you furniture that is truly unique. Pink Coyote is offering two winners from today’s competition the chance to take home a handpainted bench seat (like the one pictured above) in either white or natural finish with a design totally of their own choosing.
Have a browse through previous designs for inspiration, or choose something totally different to suit your own space – Maryanne will work with the winners to create the perfect piece of furniture just for them. Each bench seat will comfortably seat two children (or three, snugly!) and is valued at $375. What a wonderful way to create an heirloom piece for a special little person in your life.

The toy box or dolls cradle would be awesome!
The toy box! Anybody else feel like they have to tiptoe around toys on the living room floor. A toy box would be a perfect addition to our family as i could put toys back in as quickly as they all come out!

Gosh it is all gorgeous but I do love the bench seat!
I just love the 4 Hook Coat Rack… It’d be perfect for my little munchkins who have a habit of leaving their dripping wet raincoats in a soppy heap on the floor, which drives me crazy! With this stylish and practical piece there would be no more “raincoat puddles” indoors for me to tread in, plus it’d make a fabulous focal point in our somewhat drab decor!

I adore the little trinket box, so magical and mind-blowing. Such an artistic piece given it’s mixture of traditional furniture with a twist of whimsy – its so surreal it reminds me of the furniture from “Alice in Wonderland”.

The other item i love is the chair. The bench would suit our little girls room perfectly, as so far everything has been either made or upcycled for her – so this suits us perfectly.

I love the bench seats that you’re giving away! They’re my favourite piece! The natural ply would match our rocker, bouncer and high chair perfectly which this is important, as an Interior Architect I won’t just have any old thing in the house!

The ‘keep it simple s..pid, quote, is given credence here, the simple designs with the magic art works make a child’s (not to mention parents) playtime something very special. My favourite piece is the chair, that’s for my little man of course but I could always borrow couldn’t I?

I love the idea of artist Maryanne Deans Kolek using visual art to bring a piece of furniture to life – something that would be a reflection of his personality. Definitely something to be treasured.

I absolutely love the fabric chair. I have kept my favourite clothes when my littlies were babies, cannot bear to part with them and have been thinking of ways that i could creatively put them to use to preserve such a short time in their lives. to wrap these clothes around a couple of chairs would be ideal and would be a keepsake for life.
To go with the gorgeous bench seat, I have an old wardrobe that needs upcycling – Pink Coyote could do a magnificent job turning something old into something new so that our play room will actually look like it is for kids!

The gorgeous doll’s cot- my 2 year old copies EVERYTHING we do. Now with a new baby in the house, she is constantly tucking the dogs into bed as though they are her babies…The doll’s cot would give our labradoodles a break as she could put her toys to bed instead!

I would get it in White, With a nursery theme of Mint green and yellow small amount of Cream in there for good mix, spots stripes and beautiful birds or animals (perfect for our nursery) OR I could get it in white, with pink and blue features ducks and rabbits to tie in with my 14 month olds beatrix potter themed nursery (soon to be big girls room)

Definitely the toy box! Is such a great design, as it would be so easy for the kids to actually open the lid etc themselves wihtout getting their fingers caught! And like most households with kids we never have enough storage. The toys just seem to multiply in the middle of the night like gremlins, taking over the whole house! Would be great to have such a cute yet practical toy box to actally keep them contained in!
