Heirloom Furniture - classic miniature furniture for generations of children

"Memories should not be confined to the photo album" is the inspiration behind Heirloom Furniture's classic range of children's furniture, designed and made in Sweden. Working against modern notions of disposability, these beautiful pieces with proper dovetail joints, rounded edges and no protruding handles, aim to be handed down from generation to generation as a backdrop to fond childhood memories.

A smell, a toy, a knick-knack, and furniture can all bring faded memories flooding back with astonishing power. The once-small owners of Heirloom furniture will recall the many books read upon the delightful Ellinor rocker, or on her elegantly-named twin brother, Theodor when they revive them for their own children to use. Both are available in one or two-seater versions with a choice of birch, oak or walnut arms, and two standard leather colours. If you're particularly choosy, the leather can be customised.

The Heirloom collection would be ideal for basing an entire room around. It includes the Nora coffee table, stunning Bror sideboard, and the Georg floor lamp. Each of these is also available in the three types of wood as the chair arms, for a cohesive and polished look. Production methods are charmingly antiquated with the chair cushioning being made from jute, horsehair, wadding and cotton fabric, and every piece is handmade in its entirety.

Heirloom Furniture is designed for children from ages two to six, with pid.se being most happy to ship worldwide. The single chairs are from €998-1051, double sofas from €1367-1420, Nora table at €523, Bror sideboard at €1008. At the time of writing, the Georg lamp was not listed on the site.
