Cubino Chair - mod, chic, a must-have!

I've said for years that whoever can successfully make a tasteful child's lounge chair will smile all the way to the bank. I look across from my laptop to the now dishevelled atrocity we had to resort to a few years back (you know the ones) and sigh at what could have been. The feeling intensifies when I look at the clean-lined, two toned Cubino Chair.

With a slight nod to the mod, this children's chair reminds me of the Pastil Chair by famous mid-century designer, Eero Aarnio. There's something in the way the seat is scooped out of a solid base, the slightly curved lines, the nestling effect.

This lounge boasts a fantastic innings, lasting children from 18 months to 7 years, and is fabricated from durable foam with water repellent and stain resistant outer. You'd want the covers to be removeable and machine-washable, and so they are.

Made by Canadian company Monte Design, whose astonishingly beautiful nursing chairs you may have seen on overseas sites - and devastatingly, not available to Australia.

This piece can be shipped here, however it may be costly. We'll keep you updated when an Australian distributor has been secured. It is in the works as we speak!

I ordered one and it arrived from Canada in a few days - $99 shipping fee - my 2 year old daughter loves it, and so do we!
