Casa Kids – loft beds to behold

Imagine this: a bed, a closet, shelving, a hamper, drawers, a desk and a bookshelf all fitting into a space smaller than two metres wide. It seemed impossible to me until I saw the Casa Kids loft beds, overflowing with design skill and sheer creativity. I immediately started dreaming of ways we could use such an innovative bed in our house.

At first glance, the beds seem to be designed for small or awkward spaces – which of course they will work perfectly in. However, these furniture feats are also for anyone who wants to use the space in their child’s bedroom wisely, leaving no space idle or wasted and creating more room for play.

I think the term ‘loft bed’ is used loosely in this regard because these beds are so much more. They are study stations, stimulating playrooms and a private hideaway for sleeping all whilst retaining a chic and modern sensibility.

We first featured this brand last year. As always, all the furniture designed by Casa Kids founder Roberto Gil (which includes just about anything the imagination can conjure for a kid’s bedroom) is custom made in Brooklyn, New York, using various eco-conscious woods and non-toxic paints and finishes.

Each loft bed can be personalised and prices start at US$3000 from Casa Kids. You’ll need to organise a reshipper to Australia.
