I won’t lie – there was a fair bit of swearing from my husband when he built the cot for our first baby. He’s not a handyman and although we were provided with instructions, finishing the job with two spare bolts was enough to raise the blood pressure! If only we’d had Gro furniture.

Believe it or not, Gro Furniture cots are hardware free. Put away the Allen keys and the screw drivers – these ingenious pieces slot together in under two minutes. The result is a study, modern cot made from attractive amber bamboo and solid birch ply.

The cots are available in two styles (the predominantly white p. pod and the striking bam b.). Conversion kits are available for both, allowing the cots to be transformed into a toddler bed, a daybed or a desk – it really is furniture that grows!
