We eyed the Bombol Bamboo Baby Bouncer rather voraciously at the recent Baby and Toddler Show here in Sydney – a clear frontrunner in looks and design, Australian parents will just love its versatility and longevity.
We wrote about the Bombol bouncer last February and now Danish By Design have brought it to the Australian market.
What’s so great about it other than the obvious aesthetic advantage? Not only will the bouncer do the traditional job of bouncing the baby, your child can shift the position of the bouncer seat by reallocating his or her weight.

Of course newborns don’t need to do this, but when they get a little more active, they can simply sit up and the seat will respond t0 the movement, making the seat more upright or shuffle down to a recline. The front strap can be removed and all visible attachments hidden to make a mini lounge chair once baby has become a toddler.
Despite being only 3.5kg, it holds weight up to 18kg which is great news for those of us who have chubby, heavy babies and toddlers. The safety harness acts as a brace, rising almost to the chest to prevent a frontal fall. I must confess to adoring the huge buttons which secure baby in place; so chic!
It’s modern; it’s fab and is available from the end of this month for $299 from Danish By Design. Choose from Coconut, Spring Lime and Elephant Grey. You heard it here first!

Gorgeous! And $$. Always on the hunt for great modern bouncers.
I have just gone to mothercare to spend a voucher, not anticipating how hard this would be. I settled for the least ugly and most comfortable bouncer I could find and trust me, its still not pretty. These are stunning.
wow! really stunning
Do you think it’s too extravagant to put this on my baby shower list? It’s so gorgeous!
Hi we have 2 for our twins. They are truly neat and always get compliments when we have company. One cool feature that is not promoted is that by gently pressing againt the bottom frame with your foot, the Bombol seat gently rocks. Our babies really like them.
