A delicious breakfast for baby, this fig and banana porridge will also likely come to the rescue in getting things moving down below if there’s been no whiffy nappies for a little while. Disclaimer aside, come see how with just a few basic ingredients you can make this fruity porridge yourself.

Ingredients

½ tbs of Uncle Toby’s Traditional Rolled Oats
½ a dried fig, finely diced or pureed
1 sml banana, mashed
3 tbs water

Method

  • In a small saucepan bring the oats and the water to the boil. Cover with a lid and simmer for five minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Remove from the heat and add the chopped fig. Mix and set aside to cool slightly.

  • Add the mashed banana, mashing in with a fork until well combined.

Serve warm. This recipe can also be frozen if you want to make up a few batches in advance!
