UPDATE - Weego Bottles
Written by Mandi Gunsberger
25.02.2008

We mentioned these very cool bottles back in September last year when they had just launched in the USA. We have had so many emails about them and we can let you know they will be available here by May this year. In the meantime I tracked down an online store, The Soft Landing, that will ship them to Australia if you can't wait that long.

We all want what’s best for our child and it seems based on recent US research, that some plastics used in the manufacture of baby bottles contains bisphenol-A which could be harmful to your child.  As such, the people over at babylife have developed the wee·go glass bottle that will not leach harmful chemicals into your baby’s milk.

A sleek design with funky silicon cover to assist with grip ensures that there is nothing old-fashioned about the look of this bottle.  The sleeve cover comes in a variety of colours (pink, raspberry, orange, yellow, sky and ocean) and helps keep the bottle in both big and little hands and protects the glass – great when throwing into the nappy bag on outings.

The bottle ring and cap are also polycarbonate free and the teat itself is latex free and non toxic.  While the bottle and sleeve are fine to be boiled or steamed, they recommend hand washing the nipple in warm water and detergent only.

Wee·go was released in the US at the end of October, and as yet there are no stockists in Australia, but we will keep you posted as to their availability.

I am extremely interested in the wee go bottles and have had a look on the soft landing site but they are currently out of stock and have been for a while. is there any chance of being notified when they are definitely coming to Australia and where they can be purchased from.

For those that are eager to purchase the Weego Bottles, please google 'The glass Baby Bottle' they will ship to Australia. (Will cost you additional fees for product and shipment being in US dollars).

I too went to the glass bottle website & as a guide UPS shipping was quoted at $55 - this was for 2 small & 4 large bottles plus 3 of their sipper cups just to give you a guide if you want to order before they're available in Aus.
