At some point in the 1980s my friends and I were into ‘chocolate’ making. There was a large outlay for moulds, essences and of course for the main ingredient, chocolate. I’m not sure much of it ever made it into the moulds although I know we had a lot of fun.
For something chocolatey and a little challenging this Easter check out the sweet chocolate jigsaw puzzle moulds from Cakes Around Town. The moulds arrive pre-printed in coloured cocoa powder and all you have to do is add melted chocolate. Let it set and then turn it out of the mould for a chocolate jigsaw ‘printed’ with sweet Easter designs.
There a few different designs available but I like the bunnies standing outside the French chocolate shop (the moulds are made in France). There’s a step-by-step video to show how simple the moulds are to use but in my opinion if it’s chocolate, you can’t go too far wrong!
There are lots of other Easter decorations available including chocolate transfer prints to wrap around cakes or for decorating individual chocolates, edible Easter decorations made from icing and packets of ‘Easter egg’ sprinkles – why have ordinary fairy bread when you can have Easter fairy bread?
Moulds are $9.90 each, chocolate transfers are $8.80 per sheet and Easter sprinkles are $4.99. All are available from Cakes Around Town.
