There's a brand new site to complement the bricks and mortar shop called Poppet In the Post which focuses on independent design for children, and handmade and one-off products and garments.

The melamine cups come in thirteen fabulous glossy colours. I would combine the red, yellow and orange for a warm summery feel, but must admit I feel tempted by those tranquil blues. At just $5.95 each, you can get them all!

The cups are sure to last ages, being dishwasher safe and made under ethical manufacturing conditions in Denmark. The Danes have been doing magnificent melamine for years. I have some vintage Rosti kitchen gear that shows no signs of wear at all.

You won't be able to resist having a look around Poppet In the Post. They have a special section devoted to goods made in Melbourne, and you won't see the clothes on every child, nor wares in every home.

Owner Cintia started out selling her own creations under the label Cinti Does Vintage which are also featured instore. She wanted to provide a platform for local craftspeople and designers to sell their wares, and boy has she excelled! If I was a Melbournite I'd be hot-footing it to this luscious boutique.
