Last year we featured the world’s best cereal bowl. Yes, the world’s best – the clever design meant you could control your cereal and milk balance down to the very last Rice Bubble. Well it seems the same careful approach is needed for the perfect pancake feast.
In his quest to find the ideal balance between pancake and syrup, designer Jon Wye created the Pancake Plate. It’s good news for those who take their flapjacks seriously but not too syrupy (and we all know that the pancake at the bottom of your short stack can get a bit soggy).
The plate is designed with a raised edge and a gentle slope toward a reservoir for pooling your maple syrup – the perfect arrangement for slicing, dipping and enjoying every mouthful.
Pancake Plates are US$45 for a set of two. Find them at Uncommon Goods who ship to Australia.
Cereal fanatics should check our previous post on the ingenious Obol cereal bowl.
