On The Go Food Pouches – portable baby food genius!

Cherub Baby Food Pouch1 On The Go Food Pouches – portable baby food genius!

Thought there couldn’t possibly be any further advancement in baby food? Think again!

I’m currently rediscovering the joys of starting solids with my second son, and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw these ingenious Cherub Baby On The Go Baby Food Pouches. In fact, my mind is racing with the possibilities, but let me reign in my enthusiasm, so I can explain the brilliance that is the pouch!

The Australian-designed pouches are a portable, re-useable or disposable way to either store or freeze homemade baby food. You can cook up a storm for baby, then pour the food into the pouches, and freeze or refrigerate them. When you’re ready to use the food, you can warm the pouch in the microwave or bottle warmer.

Cherub Baby Food Pouch with Spoon Attached On The Go Food Pouches – portable baby food genius!I make all of my own baby food, and am forever washing up – for such little meals, baby food certainly makes a huge mess! These pouches eliminate at least some of the mess – and with the clever Cherub Baby Colour Change Food Pouch Spoons, you can feed bub directly from the pouch – now you can see why I’m so excited. And I’m not the only one trumpeting the ingenuity of the pouches, they were recently named the Kind and Jugend 2011 Innovation Award runner up.

  1. I can’t believe the timing!! I was only thinking yesterday that my little one is addicted to eating Rafferty’s Garden pouches and I’m starting to suspect that it’s not the food but the pouch and was wondering how I could put my home cooked food into one. So, thanks! I will go and order some now.

  2. My son also loves sucking the commercial baby food pouches and instantly rejects anything that looks homemade (sometimes without even smelling or tasting it!!) – I have also been wishing for months that I could put the homemade food into the pouch. so, yay for these!! Have just ordered some from BPAfree website (what a great website wish I knew about it earlier)..

  4. I bought these for my son a few months ago as he loves eating out of pouches. They are available at most Toys ‘r’ Us stores for about $19.99 but they often have storewide sales so it is possible to get it a few dollars cheaper. My problem with these is that they are very hard to wash to reuse and and you obviously can’t put them in the dishwasher so I find them quite expensive if you only get one use out of it. The concept of the pouch is a good one but just needs some tweaking to make it easier for busy working Mums.

  5. I just ordered some of these and was glad to find this post about them as I was worried I had done the wrong thing trying out this new product I hadn’t hear of – they look like such a good idea. Can’t wait to get my order – I found them here http://www.bpafree.com.au/cherub-baby-food-storage-pouch-20-pack.html for $14.36 which is an ODD price – does anyone know what Toys r us are selling them for? I can’t find it on their website.
anyway thanks again for this review post :)
