Jelly oranges are my party trick. They’re simple to make and are big on the ‘wow’ factor.
Putting jelly in oranges is so easy and I usually let the kids pick out their favourite coloured jellies but for our next party, I’m going rainbow.
All the instructions for making jelly oranges can be found here – arm yourself with a deep, large muffin tin (essential) and they’ll be a cinch.

If you want to go all out on a rainbow party, be inspired by our previous reviews on rainbow cake and rainbow fruit platters.

I love jelly oranges! ran out of time for my bubbas first birthday and they take up a lot of fridge space but will be great for her 2nd birthday as the kiddies will be able to have them rather than just the adults. Another idea for sophisticated ones it to use the “add flavour” jelly and make lemon lime and bitters (or add vodka), delicious!
LOVE! What a fabulous summer weekend activity for the kids, thanks Katrina!
You can do this with watermelon too, see here-
