Meals will be a breeze with this newly released Skip Hop Palette Plate. Shaped like an artists's palette, it's a fun way to present food, inspiring your baby or toddler to try varied foods. Ideal when starting solids as you can put different single foods in each removable bowl, the palette will also see your child through to the notorious toddler stage, when kids tend to get fussy. Prepare an array of finger foods, arrange artfully and watch your toddler eat!

In the Skip Hop tradition of brilliant design coupled with absolute functionality, the bowls are microwave safe and come with see through covers for each, so you can save any leftover food for next time. The palette has a non-slip base, thus avoiding 'artful' spills and splatters on your floors and walls a la Pro Hart. Utensils are also included, as is a spot for a sippy cup. The Palette Plate costs US$28.

Not currently available in Australia, however Shop Until, stocks many of the Skip Hop products, so will undoubtedly have them when available. We'll keep you posted on this one!

ABC stands for 'Already Been Chewed', and that's exactly what makes you do a double take when you first see these ABC Cookie Cutters. Has someone really taken a bite out of these gingerbread men and then had the gall to put them back in the tin? Perhaps it's a cunning ploy to get people to reject them. I know my toddler has issues with broken biscuits so a set of these cookie cutters would ensure there's plenty for mum and dad!

Be a prankster at your next morning tea with friends and send the kids into a spin. One is headless, one legless and another armless, and sure to inspire astonishment in young and old. Made from high quality seamless aluminium, so no cuts on little hands from sharp egdes.

One set of cutters will set you back just US$8.95 plus shipping from Kim and Jason Lemonade Stand.

We all want what’s best for our child and it seems based on recent US research, that some plastics used in the manufacture of baby bottles contains bisphenol-A which could be harmful to your child.  As such, the people over at babylife have developed the wee·go glass bottle that will not leach harmful chemicals into your baby’s milk.

A sleek design with funky silicon cover to assist with grip ensures that there is nothing old-fashioned about the look of this bottle.  The sleeve cover comes in a variety of colours (pink, raspberry, orange, yellow, sky and ocean) and helps keep the bottle in both big and little hands and protects the glass – great when throwing into the nappy bag on outings.

The bottle ring and cap are also polycarbonate free and the teat itself is latex free and non toxic.  While the bottle and sleeve are fine to be boiled or steamed, they recommend hand washing the nipple in warm water and detergent only.

Wee·go was released in the US at the end of October, and as yet there are no stockists in Australia, but we will keep you posted as to their availability.

If you have been on the (ugly) end of a tipped over plate of food, these double sided suction cups by Napfnapf  will cut your laundry load by half!

Designed to be used in conjunction with any type of crockery, the silicon suction cups will adhere plates and bowls to all hard table or tray surfaces, especially practical when away from home and eating in not so kid friendly places.  At a small 4cm x 3cm, just throw one in your handbag and always be prepared.

They come in a set of 3, one of each in blue, orange and green.  A simple practical idea that will hopefully make dining that little less messy.

Buy online at Kidsmodern for US$20 for the set.  They will ship to Australia.
