Spilt juice, stained outfits and and sticky floors at drink time can be avoided when you employ the services of the charmingly-named Dwink. Toddlers instinctively squeeze any item they're holding so their tiny hands can keep a grip on items that are often designed for and by adults. It's easy to think a popper is an easy and healthy convenience when out and about, until the inevitable spouting over carefully selected outfits and immaculate prams occurs. Children will be proud to be tidily sipping without a parent hovering around in mess-prevention mode!

Dwink will keep your child's popper, soy milk or any other kind of drink pouch snugly contained while held by the comfort grip handles. It has a non-slip base, can be put into the dishwasher and comes in orange, pink, purple and blue. Grab one in each colour to put in the car, pram, at Grandma's and at home. Sized for a universal fit, simply turn an extra-small pouch 90 degrees for a nice firm fit.

Save on cleaning and washing for a mere $9.95 each from Urban Baby.

My toddler is currently attempting to feed himself, and if you thought a baby starting to eat solids for the first time was messy, it’s not a patch on the state of his bibs, and my floor, now!

Silikids produce fantastic silicon products for babies and toddlers – we featured their kneepads in August last year – and now they have introduced the Silibib.

A silicon bib that sits flat on the child’s chest, it will not stain or soak through like traditional cloth bibs.  Best of all, it can either be wiped down with a damp cloth or simply thrown into the dishwasher for cleaning.

Offered in red, green, blue or grey in a modern circle design, they are available through Silikids for US $19.95, order online.

Meals will be a breeze with this newly released Skip Hop Palette Plate. Shaped like an artists's palette, it's a fun way to present food, inspiring your baby or toddler to try varied foods. Ideal when starting solids as you can put different single foods in each removable bowl, the palette will also see your child through to the notorious toddler stage, when kids tend to get fussy. Prepare an array of finger foods, arrange artfully and watch your toddler eat!

In the Skip Hop tradition of brilliant design coupled with absolute functionality, the bowls are microwave safe and come with see through covers for each, so you can save any leftover food for next time. The palette has a non-slip base, thus avoiding 'artful' spills and splatters on your floors and walls a la Pro Hart. Utensils are also included, as is a spot for a sippy cup. The Palette Plate costs US$28.

Not currently available in Australia, however Shop Until, stocks many of the Skip Hop products, so will undoubtedly have them when available. We'll keep you posted on this one!
