Breaking: Kylie Jenner reveals her baby was born last week!
Exciting news, Kardashian-Jenner fans! Kylie Jenner has confirmed her pregnancy – by announcing the BIRTH of her brand new baby girl.
The kat’s out of the bag!
After a pregnancy shrouded in secrecy and speculation, Kylie took to Instagram to announce her new arrival, explaining that she’d chosen to stay out of the spotlight in a bid to do what was best for her and her baby.
It’s the second Kardashian baby in recent weeks, hot on the heels of Kim and Kanye’s new daughter, Chicago. (Kylie’s older sister Khloe is expecting a baby soon, too.)
Kylie also shared a reality-style 11 minute video detailing her pregnancy journey (above), complete with first scan and heaps of footage of her romance with her partner, Travis Scott. There’s lots of Kardashian cameos in the clip, along with lots of commentary from Kylie’s friends and family about the baby-growing journey.
PLUS we catch a wee glimpse of the couple’s tiny newborn girl, as well! (below) She was born on February 1st at 4.43pm, Kylie tells us, weighing in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces. That’s just under 3.9 kg.
“I chose to do it this way for … our happiness”
Now that her baby has been delivered, safe and sound, Kylie reached out to fans and followers to tell them a little bit more about this new little life and explain why they’d kept things so mysteriously quiet.
“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions,” she wrote. “I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. ”
“I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free and healthy way I knew how. There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.”
“I could burst!”
Kylie revealed that this has been a transformative experience for her, and says she’s besotted by her new baby girl.
“Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I”m actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and I just couldn’t wait to share this blessing.”
“I’ve never felt love love this and I could burst! Thank you for understanding.”
