vintage styled threads – minus the wait

The whole ‘vintage’ concept has been floating around fashion circles for a while now, influencing what we as adults wear and recently I’ve noticed it making it’s way further into children’s wear. Black Eyed Susie have exectuted this beautifully with their vintage-inspired dresses. They’re a kind of modern-take on vintage, so they’re funky enough to have people complimenting your taste, not asking how you removed the moth ball smell from your child’s 30 year old dress!

These little dresses from Black Eyed Susie are too cute in their comfortable A-line cut, making playing and going about daily activities super-easy. The fabrics used in making the dresses are for the most part 100% cotton, thus making a fabulously hard-wearing and easy-to-care-for garment. If it’s value for money you’re after (and most of us are!) this should be at the top of your list as a transeasonal wardrobe dress for any little girl – wear it by itself with sandals during summer and gradually layer it up for winter with long sleeved tops, tights and mary-janes.

My only wish is that my not-so-little Miss was little again because these Black Eyed Susie dresses would definitely be showing up in her wardrobe!!

Black Eyed Susie dresses are made here in Australia and are available online from evie lala from $40.00.
