Some people say you can never have too many pairs of shoes, for others it’s handbags. In our house, it’s hair clips. We have a clip for every occasion and a clip for every outfit (although I do sometimes have to gently remind my daughter that less is more and that wearing ten clips at once is a little ‘busy’).

If your baby girl has finally grown enough wisps to warrant hair accessories or you have a clip-connoisseur like I do, browse the lovely collections below.

As I’m not adverse to ‘borrowing’ hair accessories from my daughter, something pretty from Etsy’s Dusty Plum is a must in the collection (shown above and below). I like the retro-inspired fabrics used on Dusty Plum hair ties, as well as the fact that they are available in different sizes – mini hair ties for little girls or pigtails and super large for mums or ‘statement’ ponytails.

For unique felt clips that are like little works of art, look no further than Modern Bean (shown below). Be warned, there are hundreds of designs to choose from, making it difficult to narrow down favourites!

There are clips in all sorts of patterns and fabrics at both Evie Lala and Cuckoo for Coco. I love the sweet sets at Evie Lala, especially the apples collection and the Little Red Riding Hood and Wolf pair of hair ties.

One of the neatest hair accessories we’ve spotted in the past year is the It’s a Snap headband. Not only are these headbands incredibly cute, they’re incredibly versatile too. Each comes with two felt decorations that snap on and off so your daughter can mix and match in a jiffy.

Lastly, with summer on the way, check out Twirling Betty’s fab headband sun visors – they’re glamorous and practical. Twirling Betty also has a collection of gorgeous headbands that feature buckles and buttons (another one you might want to ‘borrow’!).

Still want more? Check out the divine ‘Days of the Week’ embroidered clips from Chloe in Style, mod pins and ties from Miss Beba and something for boys at Lil’ Rocker Wraps. Keep in mind that hair accessories make excellent stocking stuffers at Christmas time.
