Big Dreams Store 5 Our favourite stores – spotlight on Big Dreams

You know those stores that make you genuinely excited? The children’s stores that you (ironically) long to peruse child free. Big Dreams is one of them, and thanks to the wonder of online shopping this store feature will be sure to please all of our readers, even the regional ones.

Big Dreams first opened its doors in Northcote, Victoria a little over five years ago. It was a small store with a beautiful and eclectic collection of quality toys and treasures, clothing and footwear. Fast forward to now and this little shopfront has turned into a heaven for trendy parents boasting six times the floor space, another shop in Collingwood and (just in the last year) an online store.

If walls lined with timeless wooden toys, beautiful illustrations, felt ball garlands and the latest in children’s fashion are your idea of a good time then this may just be your new favourite place. So many of Babyology’s favourite brands can be found here like Aden & Anais, Munster, Mini Rodini, Oishi-m, Little Horn, Peggy, Wilson & Frenchy, Nature Baby, Heico, Little Lamb, Leander, Ubabub, Ouef, Papoose, Bisgaard, Camper, Salt Water Sandals, Bobux, Walnut, Fable Baby, Life Factory, Weleda, Pony Rider and too many more to list.

One of the best things about this store is their selection of shoes ranging from pre-walkers to big kids – they even stock women’s Salt Waters. There is also a great range of clothing for tweens, with sizes eight to fourteen in Munster, Catamini, Petit Bateau, Little Rivet and Bardot Junior.

Because it’s the little details that matter, Big Dreams gift wraps for free and all of the staff are trained in shoe fitting and know exactly what to recommend when it comes to age appropriate clothing and gifts. Take a wander past the High St storefront in the evening just to marvel at the beautiful display. If that’s not possible you can always console yourself in the online store with hundreds of items and flat rate of $8 for shipping.

Santa could easily do all of his shopping there this year, if he didn’t feel like making everything himself, that is.
