It’s difficult not to fall in love with Macfarlane’s sumptuous designs – ivory silk satin, light-as-a-feather organza, taffetas and organdies, hand embroidery, layered petticoats and classic details such as puff sleeves and sashes tied in enormous bows – it all adds up to heavenly!

It’s hard to play favourites in a collection as gorgeous as this but if I had to choose just one, it would be the sweet Maisy dress ($375) with its polka-dot overlay and perfectly-frothy ballerina-length skirt (shown at very top and below).
