Hailing from sunny California comes Milk and Honey Baby, a company that produces some seriously groovy and retro-inspired surfwear for littlies. Nichole Horiuchi founded the surf apparel label after spending her own childhood surrounded by the beach culture of Orange County, California.
After perusing the site, I’m already enamoured with the designs and fabrics. Rompers, tanks, cotton pants, nappy covers and sundresses abound for the girls. The pink and grey apple print is my fave and totally drool-worthy, as are the starfish printed pants. The boys collection is full of hip tees, tanks and cargo shorts. I especially like the Vespa and Vintage Bus tees. Everything leaves a distinct ‘vintage’ impression yet the designs are completely suitable for modern kidlets.
All clothing is made in the USA and better yet, Milk and Honey Baby donates a portion of profits to the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit organisation that works to protect the ocean and beaches. The collections are available in sizes from six months to four years with prices starting at US$19 plus shipping to Australia. Skip on over to the Milk and Honey Baby website to scoop some up.
