I love when the two worlds of old and new collide and form something magnificent. This Australian designer does it perfectly, giving timeless fashion styles a new lease of life in modern colours and fabrics.
Emma Laue had me hooked instantly when the very first thing my eye spied was a romper suit. I can’t express enough how much I loved a romper on my infant daughter but how hard it was to find one that didn’t look too old fashioned.
The Alexa Romper ($43.95, pictured above) gives a generous, loose fit with delightful shirred shoulders and neat softly gathered legs. French seams and a self made binding finish this navy beauty off in an exquisite fashion.
If your little lady is past the romper age then check the next in my line up of favourites. The Annabelle Dress (below, $55.95) is just darling. Floaty frilled sleeves and a striped trim coordinates perfectly with the vivid green daisy fabric. Dressed up or dressed down, this is one piece that will be much loved by its wearer!

Hi Jessica. Glad you think my range is cute, I take the upmost pride in my work. Perhaps though, if you’d had the opportunity to view them in the flesh you may not feel that they ‘are easily done with a Simplicity pattern’…
Ah, that also presumes that one can sew! Non-sewers like me (really, I can’t even sew on a button!!) know that no pattern, Simplicity or otherwise, will ever result in their child wearing a cute-as-a-button outfit like this without someone like Emma! Emma, for that we salute you! ~ NT
Just love all the fabrics and designs. So different and stylish!! Can’t wait to order some for my granddaughter or grandson!!! Very soon!!!
