Dijjie – fashion for babies who want street cred

Bubble dijjie3 Dijjie – fashion for babies who want street cred

When my first baby was born almost eight years ago I was given a tiny denim jacket and matching jeans for him to wear. Keep in mind that back then, double denim was a major fashion faux pas. Nevertheless the jeans always managed to attract a “how cute!” comment. Yes, they may have looked cute but they were darn impractical. Really, what three-month-old baby wants to be swaddled wearing denim?

Babywear designer Dijjie has come up with a way that babies can look as cute-as-pie in denim whilst maintaining maximum comfort (and easy access for nappy changes). Dijjie rompers, recently showcased at London’s Bubble tradeshow, combine urban cool – think photo-realistic jeans, check shirts and hip belts – in a cosy, all-in-one romper. Personally I can’t go past the timeless style of stripes, so check out the funky Little Pacer.

Dijjie rompers are sized up to twelve months and are £15.95 each. They are available directly from Dijjie, who ship to Australia by arrangement.
