I’ve been known to sneak my kids to the shops in their pyjamas more than once – but only in their “good jammies”. It’s a bonus when kid’s pjs can be comfortable and look so beautiful that it doesn’t matter if they step out of the front door in them.
Australian-designed Cocoome Organic Sleepwear is as easy-on-the-eye as it is practical. For little dreamers there’s beautfully designed rompers, and for the older children’s crowd, sleepwear sets. Designer Amanda Evans has tailored the range to give children comfort while they sleep, through the breathable properties of organic cotton.

If that’s not enough to entice you, the delightful designs surely will. The rompers are roomy and footless, providing plenty of wear. The girl’s designs are all about pink, with accents of graphic prints and birds. The boys rompers also feature bold designs, with a departure from the classic characters you’re likely to find on most pyjamas. Polar bears, swordfish and whales will swaddle your baby as he drifts off to the land of nod. The rompers range from 000 to size two, for $39.95.

The same designs are repeated in the pyjama sets for older children. I adore this style of pj for children, as it allows ease of access for night-time trips to the bathroom. The sets come in sizes one through to eight, for $44.95, and can be purchased directly from Cocoome Organic Sleepwear.

You get what you pay for. $39.95 is a reasonable price for something kids wear a good 50% of their day – makes clothing outfits so expensive on a wear by wear analysis. And you can’t beat quality and wearing material that hasn’t been grown with chemicals, or treated with chemicals (eg fire retardants). Thumbs up from me for a good night’s sleep and better environment.
