Our marvellous UK correspondent Rachael has done it again! We bring to you the best of Bubble London from the January 2013 show.
It’s a tough gig but someone’s got to do it – trawling the aisles of one of the most prestigious children’s trade fairs in Europe, Rachael has hand-picked a few favourites to show you. Over to you Rach!
Our headliner brand shown above, the brilliantly inventive label Beau Loves showcased some fabulous new designs with its signature quirky slant and they also revealed their new bedding range. It will be available on-line soon and (hopefully) in a range of colours.
Our last mention of Corby Tindersticks (above and below) at Bubble must have done something right as they are now proud to boast five distributors in Australia! Their second season, Hola Amigo, won’t disappoint.
Using the nostalgia of school days for inspiration, there’s a nod to Spanish lessons, plimsoles and the periodic table as well to PE lessons with sporty garment shapes and their new logo! This is a gorgeous range of clothing and homewares from a label that always inspires.
Babyology favourite Poppy were at Bubble showcasing their new range. Sadly for us, this is top secret until August 2013 but we can tell you that you won’t be disappointed and the new collection has more gorgeous designs on a new line of beautifully soft fabric. Set your alarms for August – Babyology will report back then with more news.
Lucy Moose specialise in making beautiful pieces from recycled materials. Bags, cushions and corsages all get the Lucy Moose treatment but it’s the stuffyourdoodles that really excite us. Stuffyourdoodles are bespoke soft figures made to order from your children’s drawings.
Send your images to Lucy via the website and she’ll be happy to quote. I’m thinking of getting my mum’s favourite drawing of mine as a child made up for Mother’s Day. Great gift ideas for parents and children alike.
Super cute label Ettel Bettel showcased for the first time at Bubble and we loved the range which has baby and toddler clothes through to blankets and baby bags. The label is from Tel Aviv and is inspired by the endless possibilities of mixing rich textiles with inspiration of the world as seen through a child’s eyes.
Now on their third collection, British label Grubbies showed their wonderful dungarees with the new British woodland-inspired AW15 collection launched exclusively at Bubble London. The collection draws inspiration from the magic and adventure of British woodlands and a new key style has been added to the collection – the foragers.
The first of Grubbies dungarees to be fully lined for winter adventures and a huge bib pocket for collecting treasures. Designed to be worn by your mini explorers, this is a label that really is one for making the most of the great outdoors. They also showcased their brilliant new designs for scarves by illustrator Marion Lindsay with British forest scenes in vibrant violet, red and mustard.
Cute Graffiti is a collection of hand-painted designs screen printed onto beautiful organic t-shirts. T-shirts come individually packaged in retro inspired red and white candy stripe sweetie bags sealed with a cute sticker. All the designs use a bold colour palette and we love that they are unisex.
Stay tuned for Part Two of our Bubble London coverage!
