Breastfeeding for the stylish yet discerning

Some would think that after breastfeeding in public a few times, you get used to it. Well even the most brazen of us have times when the thought of pulling your breast out in a certain setting is just not right, but baby is hungry and there is little choice.

Top Secret Maternity have come up a reliable design which has a double layer top which allows nursing mothers to detach the top (like a maternity bra) and breastfeed without baring all.

The fashionable and practical range covers a versatile selection of singlets, tops (long and short-sleeved), dresses, sleep and lounge wear. All have the following three critical elements – a privacy layer that covers the top of the breast during breastfeeding; a shaped built-in nursing bra with adjustable bra strap for maximum support and drop down cups with regular maternity bra clasps for easy one-handed opening and closing. And the designs are funky, comfortable and very wearable!

All garments are made in Australia. Check the Top Secret website for local stockists or visit Cedar Leaf to purchase onine.

These clothes are lovely but why are breastfeeding clothes always maternity clothes? My daughter is nearly one and I am breastfeeding but I haven't needed maternity clothes since a few weeks after she was born.

I was thinking the same thing as the previous person. Why are the models all pregnant but showing 'nursing' tops. You don't nurse until AFTER the baby is born.
