Confession: I am a slightly obsessed knitter. Also, I have three small children. Those children sometimes get cold and I need to rug them up in warm things. It’s killing me that I never thought of making a sleeping bag like this one!

Truth be told of course, my skills don’t really extend to the kind of fashion that you’ll find at The Miniature Knit Shop. In fact, I’m having a hard time lifting my jaw off the ground long enough to write about the amazing and quirky gear you’ll find here. Luckily, it’s still pretty cold outside, so there’s still time to get in this winter and kit your little one out with Babygrows, sleeping bags and slippers.

Inspiration for the pieces comes from a love of both knitting and fancy dress, and most pieces are available in sizes to fit up to twelve months. They also take commissions, so if you want something in a larger size, you only need to contact them to discuss the details.

The variation in prices is quite wide, as you’d expect for such intricate items, but the cheapest pieces begin around the US$40 mark. You can buy it all online (and marvel!) at The Miniature Knit Shop’s Etsy store.
