Adore Maternity – fashion for bumps and breastfeeding

During pregnancy I had the maternity wardrobe all worked out, but didn’t given a whole lot of thought to what I would wear after I had the baby. I naively assumed I would just keep wearing my maternity clothing until I was back into my skinny jeans… three to four weeks tops, right?trans Adore Maternity – fashion for bumps and breastfeeding

It turns out that the last thing I felt like wearing post-bub was any sort of stretch material that grabbed anywhere. It also turned out that it took just a little longer (snort) than a month to snap back into shape.

In those first few weeks, I would sometimes manage to squeeze into an outfit that made me feel more like facing the world, only to realise that it was basically impossible to feed in and I would be back to square one.

This is why I am going to stock up on nursing clothing next time around. First stop, Adore Maternity. They have a great range of stylish breastfeeding friendly clothing that covers all of those things sleep deprived brains would never fathom.

My top pick is their gorgeous Seraphine Matilda Maxi. It is non stretch so it won’t grab, with a beautiful pattern (sure to hide the puke stains) and has a cross over bodice to make for easy and discrete nursing.

Coming in at a close second is the Seraphine Alexia Nursing Jumper. The two rows of buttons make feeding bub convenient and sneaky. I’m quite jealous I didn’t have one of these when I had my winter baby, it would have been lovely to just throw on for those cold days out. It’s such a classic design, it could be worn anywhere, dressed up or down, hiding a multitude of sins in the meantime. This jumper is cut so beautifully that it doubles as maternity wear, with enough room to cover a baby bump or a post-baby bump.

Adore also has a great maternity range including underwear and swimwear, baby safe cosmetics, books, gifts and accessories.  Both the jumper and the dress cost $89 and their online store has free shipping too so there is no need to get off the couch… I told you they have thought of everything.
