Got a picky eater? Want to see an entire meal go into that tiny stomach? Perhaps all you need is a kick along with this Big Breakfast long-sleeved top by local Etsy find grandy and baa.

I'm certainly inspired, although it doesn't take much to get my appetite going. My constantly distracted toddler is a different story however, and some food-themed clothing may well be on the cards. This garment is complete with bacon, egg, tomato, toast and baked beans, atop a milky cotton/wool blend tee. It perfectly emulates the big brekkie available at one of our favourite cafes...minus the coffee of course, but hey, our son needs no extra energy!

You can even contact grandy and baa if you have an idea for a custom top. Check out the other designs available too - rhinos, piggies, dinosaurs, bunnies, elephants and blobby monsters all done with beautifully arranged combinations of fabrics.

Look closely and you'll also conclude the person behind these beautiful clothes is an expert at finding and putting together exquisite materials - an art in itself.

Available in baby and toddler sizes from $15-$21 and available in multi packs. Support our Aussie Etsy crafters! Get clicking to grandy and baa and pay only US$3 shipping.

Arminée & Frank - Bagaholics Beware! E-mail

It appears I've become a bit of a bagaholic since becoming a mum. Like prams, bags can make or break your day. Can you fit all the baby change stuff in as well as all the bits and bobs you need for yourself and for running your household?

My husband thinks I'm mad - after all, he simply pops his wallet and keys in his pocket and off he goes.  If some can get through their day in an organised fashion that way, then great! Me, I need to know exactly where everything is and have them easily to hand, so a sturdy yet stylish bag is a must.

Have a geezer at these lush designer baby bags! Called the Port Carry-All by Arminée & Frank , it's available in their 'Nine Months' range, and designed especially for mums on the go. Armed with as many pockets as you can fill and with a larger pocket at the back for a change mat, you'll never be caught short of space or style.

Available in 10 colours, from classic black to metallic silver and earthy ochre. It has an adjustable strap making it easy to sling over the pram handlebars or over the shoulder or body - check out the stunning lining. I also love the Parker Tote for something a little bit smaller, also in the Nine Months range. I'm right into greys of every shade so the slate would be my colour of choice.

Watchout though. There's a girl's range, so you'll soon be inflicting your own obsession onto your daughters. Imagine her delight when she's given this yummy Tinee Shopper Bag from the 'Tiny Treasures' range. Watch her fill it with trinkets and take care of them whilst out. Each child's bag comes with an id charm so that if your child gets lost, she is easily identified.

From Arminée & Frank, the Carry-All runs at $390, the Tinee Shopper at $95, and the Parker Tote at $330.

This newly released Polar Bear t-shirt is everything you could want in children's apparel. Not only is it made from super-soft organic cotton, it's tagless, looks great, isn't made in a sweatshop. It's also helping to fund the Detroit Zoo's Polar Bear conservation efforts with 20% of sales going to that valuable cause.

'P is for Polar Bear' is a brand new release from bioME5, who strives to create products that are responsibly produced and inspiring to young minds. The company's animal alphabet project sees beasts of the wild from A to Z, featured on funky tees. The aim is for kids to absorb images of nature for greater awareness and interactions surrounding our beautiful world's fauna.

A cyanotype photographic image of a polar bear is plonked on a fresh orange background in the shape of a P and features bioME5's signature upside down print, so kiddies of reading age can read as they wear it.

You can get this print in tees up to size 6, or in a onesie style from 3 to 12 months. Both US$28 plus shipping, from bioME5.

We just heard that Katie Holmes will be designing a range of kids' clothes for Armani and thought we'd share this with you.

Of course Suri, who turns two next month is her inspiration.  Katie has already designed a few dresses for her which were were photographed in Paris earlier this year.  The label will roll out over the next two years, starting with a collection aimed at toddlers for spring 2009.

The Katie Holmes for Armani collection will be comparable in price to the Armani ready-to-wear line. Of course we will keep you posted on its arrival into Australia and where it can be purchased.

Katie Holmes has denied these reports, so we'll just have to wait and see if it turns up.

Geek Chic - nerdy onesies from Etsy's mary was a dj E-mail

If geekery is in the genes, then why not embrace the inevitable destiny of your children? These nerdy onesies from Etsy shop Mary Was a DJ are pure genius! Baby can learn his or her radioisotopes with my favourite, the periodic table onesie. If nothing else, baby will become familiar with its appearance in time for Kindergarten! They're also available in adult and toddler sizes.

Mathematicians are well catered for with the 'algebra' and 'multiplication styles' and other styles depict all kinds of scientific knowledge such as electric circuits, radioactive atoms, osmosis, electrostatic induction, neon light and the nitrogen cycle. Images from the 1968 World book have been beautifully appropriated into transfers to illustrate these processes. They remind me of those 50s and 60s films we saw in mid-high school science that even in the late 80s, seemed ancient!

We know a few geeks who like to be chic, so some of these great onesies and tees will be making their way to their kids from us for birthdays and new arrivals. They're only US$6 - $8 plus Etsy's usual super-cheap post from Mary Was a DJ . They're practically giving them away!
