Parents of kids aged two to eight are already familiar with the amazing tees produced by
Itch Design.
Imaginative, witty and drawing from the high fashion streets of Tokyo, little ones have been sporting forward-thinking Itch gear since 2005.
Now the little ones can also get in on the act! The wait for baby gear from Itch is over, with this exciting collaboration with
Onesies. The onesies will feature designs from Itch's range of t-shirts so you can get that rainbow zebra on your
summer newborn as well as your toddler. Choose from the zebra on a pink or blue onesie, and Vintage Dolly on pink suit.
Onesies obviously specialise in those effort-saving bodysuits all
parents love for a baby or kid still in nappies.
Cottony and comfy, they won't ride up, so baby looks smart all day
long. Check out the massive range on the Onesies site. International
readers may notice the site has a multi-currency function which is so handy when evaluating an overseas purchase.
Itch Design onesies will launch in November at $35 plus post, exclusively from
Onesies.
Orders over $150 are
shipped free of charge, so get your friends together and do a nice big
order for Christmas. Be warned, they're limited edition so get
that order in fast.
It's an exciting time of year fashion-wise, with all my very favourite brands releasing their new collections for Summer.
Baobab has just hit the shops and the pieces are as scrumptious as
I'd expect from this well-regarded, fashion-forward label for babies and children up to six years of age.
As usual, Baobab have made a feature of their fabulous tank and raglan dresses for girls, available in a range of prints such as abstract flowers, hearts and a sweet stargirl. These garments are truly
functional as well as stylish, allowing your girl to move freely
whilst looking chic. Team the dresses with the knee-length frill pants, and she can jump into any play situation with ease!
I'm loving the selections for boys - shorts with curved hems,
orange bird print envelope tees, cool retro car tees, and of course, it
wouldn't be a Baobab collection without some groovy stripes in the
mix! I like the short-sleeved striped hoodie teamed with the curved hem
boardies. The baby version of the hoodie has that adorable kimono-style
button feature that is such a favourite of mine - I think it
dresses up a garment in the loveliest way. The sweet bird bodysuit with
boyleg is a smart way for baby to dress on a very hot day. Team with a
wide-brimmed hat and baby will be the coolest bub at the park!
We also want to let you know about a very special offer from Baobab and the very talented Dog & Pony Photography. For only $49 you can have an hour long photo shoot in a fantastic, roomy studio (Sydney CBD), an 8"x12" print and 20 per cent off any item from the Baobab clothing range. To take advantage of this great offer and have your prints ready for Christmas, photo shoots must take place before 30 November 2008. Book in now to avoid disappointment.
The weather’s warming up and that means one thing for us mums of little girls - it’s summer dress season. I’ve already got my eye on this sweet little number from Oeuf. The Marnie Heart Dress has everything I like in a child’s frock – it’s seriously cute, it’s 100 per cent cotton, and it’s not made in China. Plus, the love-heart pockets have me swooning.
Running a close second is the beautiful Bella, with its pin tucked bodice and adorable row of tiny schoolgirl-style buttons. Lovely as a dress all on its own, of course, but I’m also seeing it worn tunic-style over a pair of jeans. The Isa dress is another favourite, with its peasant-inspired styling, retro-inspired fabric and three-quarter length sleeves.
I like that every item in the Oeuf summer range is made from the softest pima cotton, so you don’t have to worry about little ones getting all itchy and scratchy in the summer heat. But then again, you wouldn’t expect anything less from Oeuf, the French-inspired (that’s code for fabulous) design company known world-wide for its range of modern nursery furniture and traditional children’s clothing. And I love the company motto – that all children should have access to good design. If only!
Happily, you don’t need to hit the US for your Oeuf. Australia’s own Kido Store exclusively stocks Ouef for girls in sizes to fit from six months to six years old. The Marnie Heart Dress is $110, Isa can be yours for $135 and the Bella is $95. Other items in the range start from $55.
We discovered Babysusu earlier this year and just love their boys only clothes. Since having them on Babyology there has been a lot of interest in the brand and they are offering readers 25% off the entire range by using the code susu25 at check out.
